My Grandfather's Trunk

This trunk dates back to the early 1900's
My Grandfather packed his belongings into this trunk
when he migrated from England to Australia

Freshly painted - without altering its distressed state.

Frame-it

Old wooden photo frames
I decided to give these old frames a sanding and a couple of coats
of white acrylic paint before getting my granddaughters to
decorate them using their imagination

Frames sanded and painted.
Card, photos, craft glue and embellishments to decorate
Sorting through my craft supplies, I found an assortment of
embellishments, including some old buttons from my tin.
I also bought some coloured card for the photos to be mounted.

Sheer concentration
The girls eagerly set out their design before gluing.

I then cut the card to the size of the glass plate and mounted
the girl's choice of photos using acid free double sided tape..

Very proud of their work.

Comfy Cane Chairs

I picked up these old cane chairs for around $50 each some years ago
and decided to spruce them up a little to brighten up the patio.

After a light sanding, I applied the first coat of white exterior -low sheen acrylic and primer.
Ready for the second coat of paint.
All finished with nice new bright cushions.
